Laval
John has 13 years industry experience and a track record of analysing, developing and delivering complex, multi-stakeholder energy efficiency, renewable energy and carbon reduction strategies and projects.
He has helped a number of real estate investors and corporate clients measure, manage and verifiably reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions across their estates & operations. In doing so John has developed a robust understanding of the technical, commercial, and organisational issues and barriers such projects inevitably face, and how to navigate through them.
Recent projects include:
-
Development & delivery of a measured energy & carbon reduction programme for a major UK real estate investor, incorporating 30 shopping centres. Measures included improved data capture & management, Monitoring & Targeting (inc. IoT systems), BMS optimisation, LED lighting, HVAC plant upgrades, behavioural / organisational change and solar PV deployment.
-
Co-developed a solar PV advisory service to meet key requirements of a global energy company’s solar division, including: land sourcing & site appraisal; assessment of regional energy & carbon markets, regulatory frameworks & risks; PPA & commercial modelling.
-
Produced a formal valuation of income generated by a 93 MWe gas CHP facility and acted as an expert witness in arbitration on behalf of a UK infrastructure company.
-
Managed the development & deployment of the UK’s largest shopping centre solar PV scheme (2017) for a global real estate investor. The project won an International Green Apple Award in 2018.
